Description:
Here is a good quality antique English George IV oak provincial side table, circa 1830, with narrow proportions, displaying a lovely mellow colour, in excellent condition. The table incorporates a simple two-plank top with a moulded edge, above three working drawers. The drawer features replacement brass knobs. The pine-lined drawers are constructed with primitive hand dovetail. The drawer runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The table is raised on four straight tapering block legs, united by stretchers for additional strength. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional joined manner for that period. The item is solid in joint and ready to use. This is a small narrow table, ideal for a small room or in a hallway.

This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the hallway, or useful as a writing table. The table would certainly grace any home or office and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

Condition Report:
This table is in excellent condition, considering its age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, top and inside of drawer, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). There are no stains or damage to the table-top. The drawers are in good working order and closes flush to the frame. The drawers feature replacement solid brass knobs. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear. There are no breaks to the frame or legs. The frame has been constructed in the traditional joined manner. As the table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic mellow colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
