E W Cousins and Son has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The side edge having a chequer banding with boxwood outline strung lower edge with a concave moulding below. Each section of the frieze having boxwood and ebony stringing with a conforming chequer banded lower edge. Same stringing above the square tapered legs which are also strung and have outline stringing all on spade feet with brass castors.
