Mid 19th Century Mahogany Tilt Top Wine Table

A mid 19th century mahogany tilt top wine table in the George III style by Druce & Co of Baker Street, the circular turned dished top with gilt brass fittings underneath, over a slender turned baluster stem and tripod with cabriole supports terminating in pointed pad feet, with a makers label in gilt brass on the underside of the block. English circa 1860. Height 29”, diameter 18”.
 
Druce & Co were established at Baker Street, Marylebone early in the reign of Queen Victoria, and continued in business until 1940 when their premises were destroyed by enemy action.
