Very impressive carved oak serving table by Edwards & Roberts.

The top with foliate scroll border, two frieze drawers with Green man mask handles and stamped with makers mark, profuse carvings and female mask details, raised on substantial carved bulbous legs with carved and shaped ball feet.

normal marks and scuffs commensurate with age and use but overall this handsome table is a fine quality piece in good sound condition by prestigious makers.. the firm Edwards and Roberts were considered to be among the best English antique furniture cabinet makers of the second half of the eighteenth century.
