An unusual and very stylish painted Regency style console table by Maples of London. The rectangular shaped top having convex ends and faux ivory outline stringing with cross banding. The shaped frieze again with faux stringing and beading and decorated with a breakfront central motif of a winged angel in a chariot being pulled by 2 lions, to each side are painted golden birds and further leaf decoration. This attractive table stands on square tapering legs with faux ivory stringing, leaf decoration and spade feet. Label for Maples on the underside. Condition - very good with 1 or 2 very minor chips associated with age and use. Dimensions:- Height…28’’/ 71cm. Width…48.5’’/ 123cm. Depth…16’’/ 40.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £55.
