An ingenious and gorgeous quality mid-19th century metamorphic triple fold-over GAMES TABLE in superb condition.

Based on an 18th century design, this mid-19th century table opens FIRSTLY: to reveal the card table with guinea wells; candlestands and central cribbage board; SECONDLY: to reveal the inlaid chess and backgammon board and THIRDLY: to reveal the writing table with gilt-tooled leather writing surface; pen tray and spaces for ink bottles etc.

Further below is a compartment for storage which also holds the frame for the backgammon board. Mint condition (hardly used) and complete with original key. 27ins 68.5cms) wide maximum.
