A twin pedestal solid mahogany extending dining table in the Regency taste, English and probably dating to the first part of the 20th century. This lovely examples has the more desirable & stable four legs to the pedestals and can seat up to 8 with the extra leaf in place or 4-6 closed. When not in use the table can be used as a pair of side tables. With a reeded edge to the rounded rectangular top it stands on turned columns with quadripartite splayed reeded legs with brass caps and castors. The leaf extends the table from 5ft 1/2in to 6ft 6 1/2in and is supported by rotating supports and brass clips.
