Victorian Mahogany Table with Turned Legs

Description

Victorian mahogany table with turned legs and a 2 plank mahogany top with brass inset eyelets.

I think there would have been a brass gallery going from eyelet to eyelet and the table would have been used on board ship to stop plates etc. from moving.

However I'm not 100% sure of use and have not been able to find more information. I'm open to suggestions!
