The shaped and hinged top opens with the inside of the lid having beautiful floral boxwood inlay and an oval mirror. The wonderful interior having all the original fittings including 11 compartments with rosewood lids all inlaid with various coloured woods and cross banded in figured mahogany with turned pulls. There are 2 silk spools, blue velvet hinged pin cushion and 3 other compartments for threads, thimbles etc. Below is a useful storage drawer with polished mahogany linings.The superb turned base having carved detail and supported on 4 out swept legs with further carving.
