Description:
The table boasts a rounded rectangular top, with a reeded moulding. The table also boasts its original working brass latch, which allows the tabletop to be tilted vertically for storage and to show off the lovely grain configuration on the top, or removed for easy transportation. A sprung locking mechanism on the underside of the table locks the top in place when it is folded to the vertical position. The table is raised on a central ring turned, reeded column, which terminates on four splayed, reeded legs. The legs rest on the original lion’s paw castor cups and brass castors.

The table is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There are no marks, damage, stains, or scratches to the top. There are no missing screw studs to the underside of the table and original brass locking mechanism is complete and in excellent working order, which is rare to see. The table features the original top, base, pedestal, and legs, locking brassware, brass lion’s castor cups and brass castors. The table boasts a fantastic colour and patination. The table is solid in joint and is ready to use.
