Very decorative French solid oak Monastery table with a scrubbed oak finish and a 2'''' / 5cm thick top, circa 1900. Comfortable 8 seater table
Very solid and sturdy table, great style and with the scrubbed finish, it is perfect for an everyday kitchen diner table.
Good character grain to the top, lots of character and a couple of dry splits ( these are totally secure and nothing of any concern ), generous cleated / breadboard ends with dry joint pegs.
Standing on two sledge feet with a carved niche to each and a very chunk of oak for the brace stretcher.
The table does dismantle for ease of moving / delivering!
The table can remain in the scrubbed finish as you see it, or you may prefer to oil or wax it.
