The Joseph Fitter winding mechanism smoothly extends the table from 6ft to a maximum of 12ft and with all four leaves in place this table will seat from 14 up to 16/18 people with two at each end.

The matching leaf holder also functions as a serving table or sideboard. With a panelled front and sides, leaf motifs to the frieze and matching spiral turned columns it has doors at both ends which open to reveal green baize lined storage slots for the four leaves. The rear is stamped ‘24970 / Wylie & Lochead / 45 Buchanan Street / Glasgow’.

Both in very good condition with a desirable golden honey oak colour and characteristic medullary rays (tiger grain). Minor marks consistent with age and use, the leaves are stamped with consecutive numbers to the side and any number of the leaves can be added, the winder handle is included.
