A very good late Regency / William IV plumb pudding mahogany freestanding sofa table attributed to William Trotter of Edinburgh. The rectangular shaped top having a subtle carved edge with round cornered drop leaves. The front with 2 frieze drawers and having conforming mouldings, the reverse with 2 false drawers. The table is supported on a square column with acanthus carved decorative detail and quatraform platform base with fluted bun feet and sunken casters.
