Description

A superb quality Sheraton Revival Edwardian inlaid satinwood occasional table. Of oval form with shaped gallery and brass carrying handles. The top banded in stained sycamore with central oval panel inlaid with musical instruments and ribbons within ebony stringing. The oval Sheraton design surrounded by finely figured satinwood and inlaid with harebells and ribbons in various local and exotic imported woods. The whole raised on four square and tapering outswept satinwood legs with further inlay and boxwood and ebony stringing with shaped corner brackets. The legs joined by a curved “X” frame stretchers with mahogany stringing and a central satinwood oval patrae. The whole in excellent original condition with good patina.
