A Late Georgian Mahogany Folding Campaign Table

A rare and sought after piece of Campaign Furniture from the late Georgian Period COMPLETE IN EVERY DETAIL.
 
This folding table with the original brass work comes with the original ring-turned solid support leg which screws into the table (this leg is usually missing from these unique camp tables).
 
The table top is made from a single piece of mahogany which is finished and polished on both sides making it attractive when closed as well as in the fully extended position.
 
This campaign table was described in J.C. Loudon’s Encyclopaedia (1833) as “a very useful article … used by officers in camps … and when dinner parties are given in the open air”.

Size: 98 cm width (166 cm when extended) x 69 cm x 80 height.
