French Refectory Table in Pale Cherry

Description

Lovely French solid cherrywood farmhouse refectory table in the most fantastic pale / bleached cherry colour tone, circa 1830

Great table for a kitchen diner, bags of character and good cherry grain running throughout the top itself.

The refectory frame below makes the table solid and sturdy, the base of the legs have been capped to raise it up to a typical dining height at some point...this is quite normal for tables of this age.

There is a full width drawer to one end, useful storage space.

The real charm of the table is that it has been able to age by itself, gracefully! There are knocks and bumps throughout it, but it has been through my workshop and is totally solid and ready to go, fully beeswax polished

Very comfortable 6 seater, could seat 8 at a push...

28 1/2'' or 72cm high

31 1/2'' or 80cm wide

65'' or 165cm long

Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
