Description:
This is an attractive and superb quality antique Queen Anne burr walnut circular coffee table, circa 1920, in excellent original condition. The table features a simple moulded rim. The top consists of stunning quarter sections of burr walnut veneer, on a solid walnut frame and legs. Further below is a simple frieze with acanthus leaf & shell carved pediments. The table is supported by four prominent cabriole legs, which at the knees, feature elegant foliate carvings. The legs terminate on elegant pad shaped feet. This coffee table is unique and quirky boasting a stunning colour it would be an ideal interior decorators’ item.
Condition Report:
This coffee table is very good condition. There is an excellent colour and patination to the timber. The top of the table is constructed with top quality burr walnut veneers. It has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. Nominal old used marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The item is solid in joint (does not wobble) and is ready to be used.
