Chippendale Red Walnut Shaped Tea Table

Description

FINE mid 18th century George III Chippendale solid red walnut tea table. Lovely shape table with moulded and carved square legs. The front frieze with very unusual Greek key type design applied brick decoration which carries on down the front legs. Wonderful original fretted and carved corner brackets.

The table has a full length drawer in one side which is oak lined with the original brass knob.

The table is a wonderful rich colour with original deep patination. The table is in very good condition apart from a couple of very minor old repairs.

Just a lovely piece of mid 18th century furniture that would have been a lot of money a few years ago.
