E W Cousins and Son has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
Line inlay to the sides of lid. The floor of the interior having a cream silk lining and a brass adjustable catch to support the lid when open at any angle. Glazed panels to all sides again with moulded frames also having double stringing below. Flanked by trailing harebell inlaid corner panels over the outline strung square tapered legs with tall spade feet on castors having a shaped cross stretcher again line inlaid with a central oval fan inlay.
