Description:
The table incorporates a twin-plank moulded top above three drawers, comprising a wide central drawer flanked by two narrow drawers. The two narrow drawers feature old replacement circular brass drop handles and escutcheons, while the central drawer displays an old period replacement handle and eagle shaped escutcheon. The brassware was probably changed during the Regency period (1820 – 1830) as the style reflects this period. The mahogany lined drawers are constructed with hand dovetail joints and the drawer fronts are decorated with scribe moulding. The drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame. The table stands on four chamfered and scribe moulded legs. The table fearers the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional peg and joined construction method.

Condition Report:
This table is in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, drawer fronts and top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The drawers are in good working order and close flush to the frame. The drawers feature old replacement brass handles and escutcheons (possibly replaced in the Regency period). The table features the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional peg and joined construction method. As the table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic mellow colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
