Description

GILLOWS of LANCASTER: a fine and typically lovely quality circular DINING TABLE by this famous firm of cabinetmakers.

The beautifully figured top features a shallow frieze with applied beading around the lower edge and is supported (via the locking tilt-top mechanism) on an iconic Gillows hexagonal column, applied with "gadrooned" collars. This leads to the triform base, also with beaded decoration and to carved scrolled feet with original brass castors within. A gorgeous table of particularly good warm colour. 4ft wide; 28.5ins high. (122 x 72.5cms)
