Fine Quality Georgian Style Mahogany Side Table with Marble Top of William Kent Influence

A fine quality early 20th century Georgian style mahogany side table or console table with marble top of William Kent influence.

The table consists of a Fior di pesco rectangular marble top (of white and redddish brown tone) supported by the table base, this having a finely carved frieze consisting of Vitruvian scroll (or wave) carved decoration with turned paterae to the top of the wave with Prince of Wales feather carved decoration to the centre with gadrooned moulding below.

This leads down to four cabriole legs, all superbly carved with acanthus decoration to the top and terminating with ball & claw feet.

This table is in excellent condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
