Hobson May Collection has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
This 18th Century table retains its original tilting mechanism and catch and is in good condition, standing evenly and firmly. There is a historic repair to the leg, this is very well done and virtually impossible to see. The table has an excellent provenance, originally being in the collection of the late Captain Black of Prees Hall, Shropshire and for the past 50 years in another private collection. The simple, timeless elegance of this table enables it to compliment a traditional or contemporary.
