Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The top part of the table has a single drawer which is mahogany lined with period but not original gilded brass lion handles. The top of this table has a very unusual 24 piece inlaid hard stone section to the middle with brass line inlay surrounding it.

The whole piece is inlaid with ebony stringing on all parts. The table is free standing as it is finished exactly the same on the back.
There is a small old repair to the front part of the top but it has been there a very long time as nearly all the marks and scratches go across it. No other repairs that I can see. The table top has originally had a brass gallery around three side as you can see the filled pin holes but I think it looks much better without it.
The piece is a lovely colour with rich patination.
