Regency Rosewood Card Table with Brass Inlaid Decoration of Superb Quality

A Regency rosewood card table with brass inlaid decoration of superb quality, circa 1820.

This table consists of a superbly figured mirror veneered rosewood top with canted corners with double line brass stringing, the edges also having brass line decoration, the top opening up to reveal a green baize covered surface.

This leads down to the frieze consisting of a central carved stylised anthemion design within a moulded panel.

To either side is a brass inlaid design within an oval brass line panel which is also replicated to the sides with ball bead moulding below, each canted corner having a diamond brass line design.

This leads down to the turned and reeded column with brass collar supported by a quatre-form pedestal base with brass inlay.

This leads down to the four shaped legs, each having a carved foliate design to the top with brass line and terminating with finely cast original ormolu castors.

This table is in excellent, original condition, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
