French Empire Gueridon Centre Table

19th century
Description

Super quality French mahogany "Gueridon" or centre table with original marble top, circa 1850 and in excellent condition...also has Paris makers stamp.

Fantastically carved pedestal base with baluster and gadroon carving, scrolled legs with lions paw feet and original brass castors.

The marble top itself has a moulded edge, please see the detailed photos

Very decorative piece of furniture for a hall display or window perhaps. Or, you could use it as a small dining table!

Measuring:

29'' or 74cm high

38 1/4'' or 97cm diameter

26'' or 66cm to the underside of the table top

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
