William & Mary Oak Bobbin Side Table

17th century
Description

Good late 17th century William & Mary oak side table with bobbin type turned legs to the base. The three plank top has a thumb moulding all round and is a gorgeous bleached colour. The base with intricate "bobbin" type turnings to the legs with stretchers all round at the bottom. Drawer to the front which has very thick linings with original iron lock and later Georgian replaced brass swan neck handles and escution. The sides of the table have a scratch type moulding along the center. The table is in very good condition for age and is a gorgeous colour from years of waxing.
