It was listed by Antique Furniture Direct. Sold pieces stay on Sellingantiques as a record of what has passed through, and the next one is rarely far away.
Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
It has four drop leaves which make it ideal as a card or games table. The top and flaps are all intricately carved with asian figures and scenes and the drop leaves are supported by push-out wooden supports. In good condition, with beautiful colour and figuring, the patina and carving is very unusual and the top almost appears like embossed leather at first sight. A stylish and small sized piece of furniture, in an aesthetic movement style. Chairs not included.
