Description

Here we have a fine quality Victorian Mahogany sofa table c1840. As you can see the table has great colour and patina. The table is made from the finest Cuban Mahogany and some of the best we have seen. There are thick planks to the top with wonderful figure and tight grain with delicious even colour. The sides lift and have twin supports underneath. Usually the supports are made from a lesser wood but this table is of very high quality so all the supports are also solid Mahogany. There are two drawers to one side and two faux drawers on the other should you wish to stand in the middle of the room. The drawers have cockbeaded edges and handcut dovetail joints. The drawer linings are solid Oak including the bases. There is a central stretcher below which is well turned and joins the perfectly executed and typical legs. The legs terminate in fine quality brass cup casters. A beautiful fine quality period sofa table in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx closed 36 inches wide 58 open, 28.5 deep and 29 high.
