Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The frieze is beautifully narrow and has rosewood knurling all round the bottom edge.

The base has a tapered, concave, square shaped column with carved rosewood "gadrooned" moulding to the base which matches the top. The platform base has large scroll feet and is similarly decorated with rosewood knurling around the edges the same as the top.

The table is a lovely mellow colour throughout.
The table would look magnificent in the center of a large hall.
There have been historical restorations to the structural integrity of the top as can be seen underneath with various let in dovetail keys at the joints but apart from this the table is in very good condition especially for such a large size.
