Pair of English William IV Antique Oak Side Tables.

A very good quality pair of William the Fourth period oak antique side tables, both are in excellent, clean condition and are in the original finish. Both are identical in design and size, they would make a perfect pair of large bedside tables as well as looking good in a drawing room. Dating from around 1830, this pair of English country house side tables have barley twist oak legs on turned feet with original, quality castors. The oak tops are moulded on all four sides and unusually, the tops lift up on brass hinges to reveal a clean, shallow storage space. This hidden recess must have had a specific purpose, but unknown to us. A lovely pair of English early 19th century antique oak side tables.
