Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
It consists of two D ends and a central drop leaf table which all combines to make a generous size dining table that would comfortably seat ten dinner guests. The top is beautifully figured with lovely character and has brass D clips to hold in place once extended and stands on fine tapering legs. The mahogany has aged to a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
