A fine and stylish walnut writing table. The table has a stylish architectural design with extended corners and ''H'' stretcher united with a gallery. The table is in stongly figured walnut which retains a good original patina and slightly faded colour. The table is finished all the way around so can be freestanding in the centre of a room. The whole has a great gentleman''s library look. The table has a single drawer with a false lock added only for decorative reasons on the drawer front. The table is probably French and mid nineteenth century. C.1850.
