18th Century George III Serpentine Tea Table

Description

Very nice mid 18th century George III mahogany serpentine shaped tea table in un-touched original condition. The timber used is superb with beautiful grain pattern to the top. The frieze is crossbanded with astragal moulding to the bottom and round the legs. The legs are square tapered with a moulded block foot. One leg swings round when the table is opened up. It is nice being shaped at the sides as well as the front. One very nice and more unusual feature is that the edges of the tops are both cross banded.

The table is in superb original condition and is a beautiful colour with all original patination and waxed finish.

SIZE; 38" wide at the back, 36" wide at the front, 19" deep, 28 1/2" high
