Fine early C19th Regency period coromandel or calamander fold-over card or gaming table.

Superbly figured rare example coromandel card or gaming table . Veneered and built in solid strikingly visual striped coromandel or calamander from Ceylon .

Raised on a quadrapite platform base with scroll feet and concealed castors . Central shaped column with carved beaded base supporting a shaped frieze with carved scroll detail acanthus leaf ends and a beaded surround central tablet .

Opening to reveal a blue baize lined interior , the swivel action top revealing an open compartment .

Veneered to the rear also ,in order to be of free-standing form .

In excellent original condition with a wonderful glowing patina .
