George III Carved Occasional Table

Description

A very good mid/late 18th century mahogany SIDE or OCCASIONAL TABLE in excellent original condition.

The beautiful solid mahogany top is finely and deeply carved with eight shells and acanthus leaves within a scalloped edge. This is supported, via the 'birdcage' action, on a carved shaped central column, leading to carved tripod legs and carved 'slipper' pad feet, complete with their soles. Lovely colour and patina. 28ins (72cms) diameter.
