Description

A late 19th century Kingwood & Ormolu mounted Table de Nuit with concealed drawer and candle slide. This elegant French side table with quarter veneered canted cornered ormolu decorated frieze with contrasting Kingwood panels concealing a candle slide & a full width drawer. The table is supported on tapering cabriole legs terminating in ormolu sabots. These French tables were used throughout the 18th & 19th century by the English as bedside table & as tea tables.
