Superb 19th Century Walnut Circular Library Table with Maltese Cross

Description

An exceptional walnut circular library table, the frieze housing 4 locking and 4 dummy drawers. The tapering legs with ebony and boxwood stringing terminate on spade feet. The top of this antique walnut veneered table is crossbanded in yew wood and finely strung in ebony and boxwood. The centre motif, a Maltese cross, is superbly inlaid in yew wood. The table has a wonderful colour and patina and is in excellent condition, it stands firmly and is very stable. A table of outstanding quality and craftsmanship that would add elegance to any interior.
