Description:
Constructed from mahogany, it benefits from a lovely single-plank top (sign of quality) finished with thumb moulding. Below, there is a full-length single working drawer, displaying cock beading to the drawer front, with old replacement brass handles and escutcheons, which reflect the design of this period. The oak lined drawer features lovely fine hand dovetailed joints; it runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The table stands on four simple tapering legs, terminating on the original brass castors cups and brass castors.
This item features a rich mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
