A fine, 'important' and spectacular Regency period CARD TABLE in splendid condition.

This highly decorative and unusual "High Regency" table is veneered throughout in beautifully figured brass-inlaid coromandel wood and opens to reveal the maroon baize playing surface. The frieze features a "boulle" tablet to the front flanked by applied ormolu 'panels' to the front and sides; anthiemon motifs to the corners and ormolu beading to the lower edge.

It is supported on glorious ormolu-mounted shaped legs united by a shaped stretcher leading to cast brass gilt castors. A truly stunning and eye-catching Regency table. 35ins wide; 17ins deep; 29.5ns high.
