A fine quality Edwardian period satinwood serpentine side or lamp table in the Sheraton manner. The table stands on tapered legs with mahogany spade feet. The lower shelf is of fine and delicate form with inverted curved sides. The top is of serpentine form the whole way around and is crossbanded in mahogany and has a pierced gallery to the back. The satinwood throughout is of the finest quality with a lovely figuring and patina. The table is in wonderful untouched original condition, there are some very minor repairs and movement in the veneers. The piece has a great country house look and a simple elegance, it is finished to the same quality the whole way around and could be used free standing. C.1900.
