Description

Scarce matching pair of late C19th Chinese Qing Dynasty carved carved hardwood or hongmu low 'kang' or opium style tables.

Useful and rare matching pair of Chinese tables of exactly the same design and dimensions, which could either be used separately to add symmetry to a room , or used closely together to form a larger centre or drinks table.

The friezes and shaped scroll-over ends all decorated in carved relief with a flowering prunus design . The tops each fitted with a single-piece 'floating' fielded-edge panel.

No breaks., cracks , damage or repairs.

In excellent original condition, each with a rich patina though some minor variances in colour due to sunlight exposure. Minor historic ring-marks and blemishes to the tops .

Cleaned and waxed in our workshops, ready to use.
