Huge Georgian Irish Mahogany Serving Table

18th century
Description

Huge size 7 foot long early 19th century Georgian Irish mahogany serving table with provenance. The 2" thick top is veneered on pine with boxwood and ebony line inlay and satinwood cross banding with slightly rounded mahogany cross banded edge. The base with square tapering legs with boxwood line inlay terminating in moulded spade feet. The front of the table has a fancy ebony, boxwood and satinwood cross banded inlay and the frieze is mahogany cross banded.

The table is in good order and retains a lovely colour.

Originally from ASHFORD CASTLE in CONG, SOUTHERN IRELAND.
