Athey Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
the top with black tooled leather writing surface with gold detail, three frieze drawers to each side and two dummy drawers to each end, all with turned wooden knob handles, raised on lovely turned and fluted legs.
in a warm golden oak, this handsome table really is a super piece, it has normal marks / scuffs commensurate with age but overall it is very sturdy and in very good condition, it is not done justice by the photographs.
