E W Cousins and Son has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The top sitting on a mahogany block with brass hinges and catch. The triform column having panels of kingwood and banded edge with ormolu mounts trailing down the edges running into the the down swept legs also having ormolu mounts between the legs. All on ormolu mounted toes.
