Chinese Chippendale Style Side Table

Interesting and very good quality mahogany side table, or desk etc. The design of the table owes a lot to Chinese Chippendale but it is very simplified and actually similar to Art Deco design, the period to which the table dates. The piece is exceptionally good quality with all mahogany lined drawers and the very best mahogany used throughout. The workmanship is simple and elegant but high quality. The table is all original including the brass handles. The locks to the drawers work and have a key. This a London makers piece and would have been retailled through the finest furniture store. The condition is excellent with some fading to the wood and marks to the top, as is expected, and it has a good patina and shine. C.1920.
