M Lees and Sons has dated this piece to the 1860s.
Superbly made satinwood circular centre table , constructed from solid timber . Raised on a shaped concave-sided tri-part platform base with turned feet below . The centre column support with moulded ring base below carved bands of 'stiff-leaf' detail . The single-piece top with a shallow frieze edge with moulded detail .

The whole of wonderful rich golden colour and patina , in excellent original condition . Complete with original cast brass bolts enabling the table to be tipped . The underframe of the table fitted with wooden sliding release . The column removable from the base with a peg beneath the platform .
Stunning decorative centre or breakfast table with an exotic colonial attraction .
