Georgian Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Some of the drawers are dummy and every second drawer is real. Each of the drawers has a brass escutcheon and two knob turn-up handles. A single beading frames the top of the table, and beneath is a cruciform section fixing the table to the base.
A faceted and tapering column leads down to the base and it has an urn-like form. At the base of this is a carved, circular bezel that spreads out onto the raised, triangular platform base, which is veneered in quarter-sawn oak. It is finished on three squat bun feet, with a tapering top and bottom and castors beneath it. The table is a good size, excellent colour.
