Description:
Twin moulded drawers, which are inconspicuous in design, sit below. A lip below the drawer fronts that incorporates recessed cup handles, allows you to open the drawers. The hand-dovetailed drawers are lined with solid mahogany and incorporate quarter beading on the insides corners of the drawers (this is another sign of quality). The table a straight frieze and stands on four elegant tapered octagonal baluster legs.
This table boasts a superb rich mahogany colour and patination and is in good original condition overall. At this time, England was importing the finest quality mahogany from its colonies. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
Condition Report:
This table is in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and legs but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). There are no stains or cup marks to the tabletop. The drawers are in good working order and closes flush to the frame. As the table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and is ready to use.
