Description

A superb mahogany, inlaid and pen worked envelope card table. The top having 4 leaves with good quality ivorine and satinwood inlaid scrolling fauna and cornucopia all set within double ivorine lines. To open, the top swivels and 1 leaf raises to enable easy opening of all leaves. Once turned and opened the baize lined playing surface is revealed and each leaf has a sunken copper counter well. The single mahogany lined frieze drawer retaining the original cast brass handles with further ivorine and satinwood inlay. This card table stands on 4 cabriole legs with inlaid ivorine harebells and stringing with supporting pierced cross stretcher and turned finials. Condition- very good. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £48.
